Position: Electrical Lab Test Technician
Reports to: Production Manager / Production Control Manager
Job Hours:
-
7:00am-3:30pm shift, Mon-Fri.

Flexible to work extended hours as needed.
Job Summary:
The Electrical Lab Test Technician is primarily responsible for setting up, testing, tuning, and accurately documenting the results.
Supervisory Responsibilities: n/a
Duties/Responsibilities:
-
Assemble and tune microwave devices following drawing’s specifications.

Understand electrical specifications including VSWR, insertion loss, and frequency band.

Properly Set up Vector Network Analyzers (VNA) for testing assemblies.

Electrically test and tune waveguide assemblies according to the print specifications.
-
Complete and save required documentation for testing results.

Cross-check all electrical work performed for consistency and correctness.

Apply appropriate physical markings on assemblies to identify serial numbers.
-
Responsible for verifying quantities match the work traveler.

Maintain a safe and professional work area.

Additional duties might be assigned.

Attention to detail and thorough in completing work tasks.

High degree of dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.

Ability to handle tools and delicate parts.

Good communication skills; with the ability to work independently and as a team.

Education and Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
-
Experience with RF/microwave designs and test techniques up to 70GHz desired.

Achieve quality standards within acceptable limits (first-pass yield).
Physical Demands:

Occasionally be required to push, pull and move objects up to 50 pounds.

Hearing, seeing ability to include depth perception, peripheral vision and rapid mental coordination.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
