Position: IT Specialist
Reports To: CEO
Job Hours:
- 7:00am-3:30pm shift, Mon-Fri
- Flexible to work extended hours as needed
Job Summary:
The IT Specialist manages all IT/IS planning, implementation and maintenance processes including network configuration, system applications, systems maintenance and recovery, back-up, security, new system implementations, and interfaces. Their responsibilities include devising and establishing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set in the organization’s strategic plan. They also plan and design security solutions and capabilities that enable the organization to identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain security certification compliance to support government contracts
- Manage, develop and improve IT/IS security systems, standards and policies, including disaster recovery, database protection and software development
- Implement and manage wireless devices, multi-site network infrastructure, business intelligence development and implementation
- Design company-wide security policies to bring operations in line with Center for Internet Security (CIS) standards and monitor compliance
- Monitor confidential company data and mitigate hacking through network systems updates
- Manage anonymous online and phone-call tips, implementing uncovered information into investigation processes to solve cases
- Provide consultation and technical services on all aspects of information security
- Create cybersecurity best practice communications to educate staff against known threats and potential vectors of attack
- Work closely with mentors in problem solving and help new team members develop their professional talent
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of the CMMC qualification process, as well as security standards for NIST/DoD
- Proficient in working with security information event management systems (SIEM), intrusion prevention (IDS/IPS), vulnerability management, endpoint protection, malware analysis, and other system monitoring tools
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure Administration and ability to set up network
- Strong understanding of computer networking technologies, architectures, and fundamental protocols.
Education and Experience:
- Working knowledge or certification in information technology, cyber security, or related field required
- CMMS certification required, 5+ years related experience with security standards and frameworks including NIST/DoD preferred
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure Administration and ability to set up network

Physical Demands:
- Occasionally be required to push, pull and move objects up to 30 pounds
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk
Work Environment:
- Office environment
- The noise level in the work environment may be moderately loud
- Willingness to travel 0-5%
